Hi my beautiful friends!
I thought Night Routines aren't important, until a few years ago, I realized that the absence of a night routine in my life was draining my energy and taking away from the quality of my days. I would stay up late doing work on the computer or watching videos on youtube, then I would spend hours in bed going through my social media on my phone until it was 3-4 in the morning. I would wake up the next morning at 8 am feeling exhausted and not very excited for the day. One day I just got sick and tired of this vicious cycle and decided to do something about it. First I decided that the phone has to go on airplane mode. Absolutely no phones in bed! It's a rule I have with myself. Even changing this one thing gave me at least an extra hour or two hours of sleep. I'm gonna be honest though, it was hard at first to introduce this habit. Phones are like adult pacifiers. There has been plenty of times where I'd reach for the phone while I'm in bed and then had to talk myself out of it. (You are strong Mimi! You can sleep without your phone! hahah) Now I also always start and end my day with The Five Minute Journal. It helps me reflect on the day.
Then other changes followed like introducing meditation in the evenings (here's an easy video teaching how to do Vipassana meditation, which is what I do). Again, this was life changing for me as it puts me in a relaxed state and I fall asleep almost instantly now, where before it could take me 30 mins up to an hour to fall asleep.
Watch My Night Routine to learn more about Alex's and I habits on how to unwind at the end of the day. Is yours similar to ours? Is there something you would suggest I add to my night routine? Did you find anything helpful in my Night Routine that you will add to yours? I'd love to hear your feedback.
Love you guys!
Good Night! xx
Mimi
