Whoa! This week went by way too fast for me…It must be all the holiday commotion and the fact that I changed many time zones. I’m currently in Canada, spending time with family and catching up on work here in our Luxy Hair office. Below are the highlights of the previous week. I’ll keep it short and sweet this week.

26 Scientifically Proven Superhuman Benefits of Meditation
I love learning more about meditation and scientific evidence of its benefits. I always have this need to understand logically how and why things work. Here is a fantastic article I came across that highlights the biggest advantages you can gain from practicing daily meditation. Let me know if you’d like me to make a video on the topic. I’m definitely considering it, as I have been getting a lot of questions recently regarding meditation and how to start practicing it.
DRINK
As the weather gets colder, especially here in Toronto, where I’m visiting my family at the moment, I tend to gravitate towards one of my favorite drinks to keep nasty colds away. It works every time a get a bit of a sore throat or feel a bit weaker due to the freezing weather.

FOOD
Alex has been craving cookies lately, so he asked me to bake him our favorite almond flour cookies. These are so delicious and nutritious. I recently shared a step by step tutorial on how to make them on my Snapchat ( mimiikonn) A lot of you asked for the recipe, so here it goes:
Almond Flour Cookies ( from my cookbook)
Ingredients
3 cups almond flour
2 eggs
1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
2 tablespoons honey ( or more, as the cookies I prefer are not that sweet)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Whisk all the ingredients together in a bold. If the dough is too sticky, add more almond flour.
Roll out dough, flatten it with you palm and use cookie cutter to shape your cookies. Alternatively, you can use a cup as a cookie cutter.
Slide a knife under the cookie to pick it up and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until firm and golden. Enjoy!
